Shift - Wednesday - Friday, every other Saturday, 4 PM to 4:30 AM (12-hours)

What this job involves - JLL is seeking a Stationary Engineer/Electrician to join our team! The incumbent is required to monitor electrical equipment and systems for continuous operations for our client, utilizing automation controls, alarm systems and local controls.

What is your day to day?
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Maintain and repair large motors, equipment, and control systems in campus factory areas
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure system safety.
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring, fixtures, and equipment and to ensure conformance to job specifications, building and safety codes.
Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Also place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various electrical equipment.
Minor electrical testing, troubleshooting, inspections and repairs for general building work.
Perform all work using the proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.
Respond to a wide range of mechanical and electrical problems and troubleshoot to repair, including the ability to rebuild pumps in house as well as solid experience with laser alignment is also strongly desired.
Document problems encountered and communicate these through electronic work order systems, electronic mail and voice systems.
Operates systems in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with government regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures according to NFPA70E.
Performs predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance as well as equipment rounds and service requests as directed. Performs maintenance in accordance with the CMMS. Assist with the development and improvement of preventative maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOP's and operational procedures.
Works to improve the preventative maintenance program.
Ability to perform visual and operational inspection of associated equipment and interprets specifications, blueprints and job standards to perform assigned duties.
Provide general labor services throughout all areas maintained by the Utility Maintenance department including cleaning and organization of designated work areas.
Successfully complete training and demonstrate an ability to perform equipment monitoring and operational checks on utility equipment.
Complete site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices.
Maintain GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliance standards.
Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Maintains all codes, laws and regulations through the JLL compliance program. Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
Interact well with others in a team environment including Maintenance, Engineering team members as well as other internal / external customers.
Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment.
Be able to work independently and follow escalation policy if needed.
Actively participates in, technical and safety training programs.
Performs additional duties as directed.

Desired experience and technical skills -
Required
Must be willing to join Local 39 International Union of Operating Engineers.
Experienced electrician or electrical work in an industrial or commercial environment
Demonstrate the proper use and care of tools and instruments.
Must be able to read and understand mechanical blue prints and electrical schematics.
Have experience with building/system control systems.
Have experience with boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them.
Have knowledge of air compressors, air dyers, reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators, HVAC/R, pump rebuild, Utility Operations and the ability to perform maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment.
7+ years of experience in facility/plant electrical system maintenance in a manufacturing or GMP/ISO environment.
Possess hands-on skills and knowledge to complete required electrical repairs and maintenance on Building Systems (including but not limited to: Utilities, HVAC, Lighting, Emergency Power, Transfer Switches, Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS) Generators, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, and Building Automation Systems) using industry standard tools and in accordance with all codes, laws, and regulations.
Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
Have working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI interfaces and other automated devices.

Preferred
Previous GMP environment experience
Have working knowledge of CMMS systems

Work Environment
Work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
Wear air purifying respirator and wear necessary hearing protection. When needed.
Work alternative shifts that could include graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays.
Work overtime when necessary and work varying shifts, including on-call program.
Lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed.
Crawl, kneel and stoop and work in small spaces.
