This position is located at the California Health Care Facility
Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSMI), the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) working as the Hiring and Recruitment Analyst (H&RA) is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating specialized projects and assignments related to Hiring and Recruitment. The H&RA must have thorough knowledge of the hiring and appointment process in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), State Personnel Board (SPB), and the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation's (CDCR) hiring process. With guidance of a supervisor, the SSA will screen applicants for employment, apply appropriate codes, and interpret, apply minimum qualifications, and determine eligibility for appointment to both custody and non-custody classifications. The H&RA is responsible coordinating recruitment functions, and facilitating and coordinating the interview process to ensure hires are made in compliance with hiring guidelines and procedures. The H&RA SSA acts as the back-up for the Classification & Pay (C&P) Analyst and works closely with the Position Control Analyst on classification/position issues for the institution.
