Team Overview: The Internal Communications Manager will join LaSalle's Marketing & Communications team reporting to the Strategic Communications Director, located in the Chicago office.
Role Overview: Champion enterprise-wide internal communications to advance the company's business goals and corporate culture. This position will work with the broader Marketing and Communications team to stay aligned to strategic goals, ensure our employees feel connected to what is happening across the firm and help communicate the critical role they play in shaping its success.
Individual will have primary responsibility for LaSalle's global internal messaging, communications, and platforms, including the intranet environment and enterprise email system. They will advance the firm's programmatic internal campaigns, while taking ownership of ongoing maintenance, engagement, resource allocation, enhancements and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities: Work with regional and global business leaders to identify internal communications needs, current processes, and assess gaps and opportunities.
Work with regional and global functional leaders including HR, Legal, and Research to identify internal communications needs, current processes, and assess gaps and opportunities.
Develop, review, and execute internal communications strategies aligned to business and functional needs and wider Marketing and Communications teams
Develop, review, and execute internal communications strategies to support specific product and service divisions and change management initiatives
Under direction of the Strategic Communications Director, help create high-quality written and multimedia content related to operational change programs
End-to-end ownership of internal email communication platforms, including global intranet (SharePoint-based) and internal email systems
In partnership with Global Communications Leads, coordinate, develop materials and help execute quarterly global town hall business updates
In partnership with Regional Communications Leads, coordinate, develop materials and help execute quarterly regional town hall business updates
Measure the effectiveness of our internal communications strategies and explore new channels/formats to engage with employees, while overseeing ongoing maintenance, resource allocation, enhancements and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, English or related discipline with a thorough understanding of communications principles and practices
Progressively responsible corporate communications experience (5-10 years), at a global organization
Proven success in developing and managing internal communications strategies and deliverables
Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with strong writing and editorial abilities
Possess excellent stakeholder management skills with a willingness to collaborate
Demonstrated strategic and innovative thinking skills with the ability to see the big picture, while also being able to drive projects from development to completion
Excellent project-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and to prioritize multiple pursuits
